crisisIQ supports multiple languages for an accessible, global user experience.

Content Language

Simulation Content
  • Scenarios may be in specific language
  • Check scenario language before starting
  • Some scenarios available in multiple languages
  • Language indicated in scenario details

Multilingual Features

Language Per Content

Some features support language selection:
  • Scenario Language: Filter scenarios by language
  • Resource Language: Documents tagged by language
  • Preference: Preferred content language

Translation Availability

Not all content is available in all languages:
If content isn’t available in your selected interface language, it may display in the default language (typically English).
Check:
  • Scenario descriptions show available languages
  • Filter library by language
  • Contact admin about content translation

Browser Language Detection

Auto-Detection

On first visit, crisisIQ may:
  • Detect browser language setting
  • Suggest matching interface language
  • Default to organization’s primary language
  • Allow you to change immediately

Overriding Detection

Your saved preference always overrides browser detection.

Language for Teams

Team Simulations

In multilingual teams:
  • Each user sees interface in their language
  • Scenario content is in single language
  • Chat happens in participants’ chosen languages
  • Reports generated in user’s interface language

Communication Tips

Agree on a common language for simulation chat, especially in international teams.
If team members use different languages, consider external translation for chat.
Facilitators should confirm all team members understand scenario language.

Troubleshooting

  • Refresh browser (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R)
  • Clear cache and reload
  • Log out and back in
  • Check if change was saved
  • Some content may not be fully translated yet
  • User-generated content stays in original language
  • Report missing translations to support
  • Check your saved preference (Profile > Settings)
  • Browser may be interfering; set explicitly
  • Clear cookies and set again
  • Scenarios have their own language setting
  • Check scenario details before starting
  • Look for translated version if available

Regional Variations

Deutsch

  • Standard: Hochdeutsch (High German)
  • Regional differences minimal in interface
  • Scenario content may reflect regional context

English

  • Standard: International English
  • Spelling: Primarily US conventions
  • Some scenarios may use UK or regional English

Requesting Additional Languages

If you need a language not currently supported:
  1. Contact your organization administrator
  2. Or submit request to crisisIQ support
  3. Include:
    • Language needed
    • Number of users
    • Use case / importance
    • Volunteer translators (if available)
Language additions depend on demand and translation resources. crisisIQ periodically adds new languages based on user needs.
