Verification Process
For New Accounts
When you create a new account:1
Register Your Account
Complete the registration form with your email and other details

Check Your Email
Look for a verification email from crisisIQ in your inbox

Click Verification Link
Open the email and click the “Verify Email Address” button or link

Confirmation
You’ll be redirected to crisisIQ with a success message

Access Granted
Your account is now fully activated and you can access all features
For Invited Users
If you were invited by an organization:- Accept the invitation via the email link
- Set your password
- A verification email will be sent automatically
- Click the verification link to complete setup

The verification email contains:- Subject: “Verify your crisisIQ email address”
- From: noreply@crisisiq.com
- Verification Link: Unique, time-limited URL
- Validity: Link expires after 24 hours

A new verification email will be sent within minutes

Click the link in the new email to complete verification
You can request a new verification email up to 5 times per hour to prevent abuse.

- Promotions tab (Gmail)

Email delivery can take 2-5 minutes. Be patient before requesting a resend.

Log out and try to log back in. The system will show you which email address needs verification. Ensure it’s correct.

If you used a disposable or temporary email service, it may not be receiving messages. Contact support to update your account email.
Verification Status

To see if your email is verified:- Log in to crisisIQ (if possible)
- Go to Profile Settings
- Look for Email Status indicator
- Verified ✓
- Pending ✗
Status: Email Verified
- Green checkmark next to email
- Full access to all features
- Can join simulations
- Receives all notifications
Unverified Account Restrictions

If you need to change your email address:1
Update in Profile
Go to Profile Settings and update your email address

A verification email will be sent to the new address

Verify New Email
Click the link in the email sent to your new address

Old Email Deactivated
Your old email will be replaced once the new one is verified
Your old email remains active until you verify the new one. This prevents accidental lockout.
Troubleshooting

Links expire after 24 hours. Log in and request a new verification email from the verification prompt page.

The link may have been already used or malformed. Request a new verification email.
Clicking link does nothing

- Try copying and pasting the full URL into your browser
- Ensure you’re using an up-to-date browser
- Check if browser extensions are interfering
- Try in a different browser or incognito mode

- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Log out and log back in
- Wait a few minutes for the system to update
- Contact support if the issue persists

If you no longer have access to your registered email:
- Contact your organization administrator
- They can update your email address
- You’ll receive a verification email at the new address

- Provide them with: noreply@crisisiq.com and support@crisisiq.com
- Alternatively, use a personal email if allowed by your organization
